Any new youtube news?

New stuff that's in progress of being released (currenty in beta and test state - available for exclusive channels):
- Animated GIF creator
- Better comment ranking
- Comment moderators
- Analytics improvements

Avatarts were available in past but was removed - don't know for sure if they are actually removed. And GIF banners are available if you talk about channel banners, i've made one for my own channel.
 
GIF Banners... are a thing?!
Is it an official thing? I checked some videos regarding this and it works for some people and doesn't for others.

I'm really interested now, will have to try it myself.
 
How is comment moderating going to work? Can channels assign a moderator or is YouTube implementing people or a system to watch comments?

Yes, the top 100 most subscribed people from each category will become "mods" of it and therefore they will be able to do anything they want with other videos comments, that includes disabling them, removing comments they don't like and banning users for their inadequate dictionary.

Imagine the uproar then :devil:
