I guess it was just a typo the advertiser made. Consider yourself lucky
Why do you think it's a typo?
There ARE actually advertisers who pay even $50 per click in adsense...Especially in the insurance industry, lawyers, online casinos and even drug rehabilitation centers (fancy ones).
Google it and you'll see...
I'm assuming something triggered a very high paying ad to be shown in my video (and of course a user clicked it) - I'm just trying to find a way to understand that trigger and to re-create it....[DOUBLEPOST=1410225917,1410225600][/DOUBLEPOST]
What? I got $15 follar for 80K views. What are your AdSense settings? What kind of advertisements do you allow? And most important, were do most of your viewers come from?
You are looking at the wrong direction mate

It's not the way I set up my adsense, not the ads I allow and not even the geo location of my viewers.
I know that because my average "numbers" (cpc, rpm etc...) are usually normal. I'm getting millions of monthly views and lots of clicks that usually pay $0.5-1.5
This was 1 specific click that generated $14 and I was lucky to be able to monitor it.
Now I'm trying to understand if I can "help" this miracle to happen again...[DOUBLEPOST=1410226036][/DOUBLEPOST]
It will have been a legitimate click. Remember, these ads are context sensitive to the viewer. If that viewer is shown an ad that is designed to make them likely to purchase something of high value, it certainly could have a high CPC value. Legal services for example tend to have a much higher cost per click as the return on investment to the advertiser is high. If you make $5-10K off of each client, then paying $15-$30 a click to get people who need your services to your website is peanuts.
There is little to no way to replicate this without knowing what ad was shown and YouTube doesn't provide you that information.
Had you known what the ad was - how exactly would it help you replicate this?
