Loving YTtalk
Hi,

Since I have both a marketing as well as Design degree (and my own YouTube channel), I've been experimenting back and forth with a friend, to help him rank some of his videos better in YouTube (it's such a shame when you have quality content, and no one sees it!).
One of the things I've tried to do, is share his video on my social networks. I've done this through the YouTube "Share" button. But in his analytics panel, "Shares" only show a random Tweet (that neither of us had done).
Any clue what could have gone awry? Since it was done through YouTube itself, it should be updated, no? It would be a shame if the share "went to waste" in this regard.
Any help or info would be much appreciated!

i really am sorry for the issues yall are recieving with google analytics but open observing youtube has made some changes to it and once you upload a video it doesn't update instantly give it some time and the systems are not moving at fast speeds as they are normally suppose to because youtube has been making a few changes. Hope i helped:)..ALSO WELCOME TO YTTALK

Hi Tonio.

What you are talking about is simply the Analytics timeframe you can choose, which has been updated within Analytics. That's a bit of a "duh". Naturally updates done to a video, outside of the timeframe shown in Analytics, won't show up in Analytics. That goes without saying.

Sadly, it has nothing to do with my question that I posted :)

Also, I watched the video in your description, and thought I would throw you a few pointers:
The reason some people might be inclined to buy subscribers, is because your subscriber count helps your videos rank better. They might also buy them for marketing purposes (a press release looks a lot better, if you reference a channel with 50.000 subscribers, than one with 500 subscribers).
Also, you mention that some channels have tons of views on their videos, even though they just started their channel, hinting that they buy views. Not true at all: there's TONS of ways to legitimately advertise your videos, to get views. Either on websites, or through AdWords for Video. If you have the cash to throw on it, any video can legitimately get over a 100.000 views (that would cost you around $1.000 with AdWords for Video).

That's a bit off topic for the thread, but though I would post it anyway, since it's through your signature that I watched the video. (I honestly don't get why people still get confused about "frozen" views - there's nothing frozen about it. The viewcounter just isn't updating constantly, that's all.)

Thats not necessarily true at ALL subscribers can come and go and be inactive as long as they please. You must buy subscribers?? I never said there weren't legitimate ways to gain views first of all i might be young but very educated so talk to me like i try to talk to everybody on here with respect!! DUHH i know a couple of advertising platforms. Just cause you know certain things doesn't mean others do but with reliable information they can indeed learn from good sources and research. Youtube has stated what it has said about the view counter and thats what it is and you can try searching there site for exactly what they have posted and you can navigate to there by going to google and typing in youtube current site issues.

After 301 there is a verification process and if youtube is not telling the truth about the matter then that IS THERE FAULT!:)

Dude... chill? You don't handle criticism very well, do you.
You also seem to be confused about some of the things I wrote.. for instance, when I mentioned buying you subscribers. In your video you said "I don't understand why anyone would want to buy subscribers" - I told you why.

Also, YouTube is ALWAYS verifying views. You try throwing some botted views on a video with AdSense on it, and see if YouTube does nothing before it hits 300 ;) I'm saying it doesn't necessarily magically just happen at 300. In fact, if you have a look at your videos in your video panel, and views ON the video, you'll often find it shows different things (under 300 too). It also stops in the future after 300 views. It simply isn't updating the views on the page all the time anymore. The views are still counted internally. I could imagine one reason would be to save server power on constantly updating on-page stuff for popular videos.

"This guys channel just came out, and it got like, 80 million views, and I got get like 5 or 6" - if your point wasn't to reference people buying views, then I don't get your point at all from saying that :(

I'm not trying to be rude (so stop yelling about demanding respect - I wasn't disrespectful in the first place), just stating how it is. For your original post, you talked about something completely irrelevant to my question, I'm not sure how else you wanted me to respond? You're an adult, I didn't think I needed to sweet-talk you before saying your reply (sadly) wasn't helpful.

Some of your information was helpful and the other was not as well so seems to be a misunderstanding and dueces im sure you know that term:)

Now, I'm saying this in the least possible offensive way possible, and I honestly don't mean to be rude by it, but seriously my man... punctuation! Try reading your replies out loud. They can be horribly difficult to understand >_<
And I had to look it up... dueces, never heard of it. Urban Dictionary says it's like "peace", so yeah... peace yo! Don't get how it fits into your sentence at all though, you just asked if I knew what it meant, and never stated what you actually wanted to say with the word :S

Oh my punctuation is good by the way i use it when i feel like it yo! You obviously need a brain scan but goodbye gangster:)
