Loving YTtalk
Hi,
Since I have both a marketing as well as Design degree (and my own YouTube channel), I've been experimenting back and forth with a friend, to help him rank some of his videos better in YouTube (it's such a shame when you have quality content, and no one sees it!).
One of the things I've tried to do, is share his video on my social networks. I've done this through the YouTube "Share" button. But in his analytics panel, "Shares" only show a random Tweet (that neither of us had done).
Any clue what could have gone awry? Since it was done through YouTube itself, it should be updated, no? It would be a shame if the share "went to waste" in this regard.
Any help or info would be much appreciated!

..ALSO WELCOME TO YTTALK
I'm saying it doesn't necessarily magically just happen at 300. In fact, if you have a look at your videos in your video panel, and views ON the video, you'll often find it shows different things (under 300 too). It also stops in the future after 300 views. It simply isn't updating the views on the page all the time anymore. The views are still counted internally. I could imagine one reason would be to save server power on constantly updating on-page stuff for popular videos.
