Analytics default: 28 days

YouTube changed the default range. You can still get 30 days from the drop-down menu but what's up with 28 days? It's such a strange number.

Maybe February tried to sue saying it was feeling left out?

Yeah, I agree it's a weird number. The only thing I can think of is the fact that 28 days = exactly 4 weeks.

It would be good if the user could choose the default time period.

I agree, "last 30 days" was probably more weird. I think the most useful would be "this month" and/or "last day" where last day = the last day in the analytics database.

Last 30 days shows trends so that people can see that their stats fluctuate.
