AMAZING FRAPS DISCOVERY!!! Destroy's any lag!

I use a Seagate Freeagent Goflex, I am not sure honestly whether its hdd or sdd, because it was given to me, it has 500gb on it so recording is a breeze, I have so many files on it :p No lag whatsoever playing Amnesia, so thats pretty good.

It's not a solid state. A 500GB external SSD would be ... cost prohibitive.

A solid state drive is SSD, Solid State Drive. And well SSDs are more expensive than HDDs but they are much faster due to there being no physically moving parts like there is in a HDD.
Oh ok thanks, wow, guess I got lucky then :D Some lady was all like "Here I don't need this hard drive anymore... Takers?" So I sprang off my seat and she gave it to me! :) I am happy now!

I use fraps for my game recording and love it makes for great picture and does not slow the computer at all when using it. You subscribe I subscribe Back!

I am back and I can report great success! ''Transplanting'' the hard drive into my computer worked like a charm for the most part and now I've tried to record with it, had 90 FPS constantly while playing CS GO and during WoW in the middle of Pandaria on Ultra graphics it went between 30-60 FPS which is okay I mean there's a lot to view and the FPS that YouTube allows is 30 and below I'm pretty sure and my Fraps setting is that it is making 30 FPS recordings.

So yes Western Digital Caviar Blue works great, it's something I recommend if you need a new HDD.
