Am I the only one who doesn't like to watch their own videos with someone? Throughout my entire life, I've never liked watching/listening to myself with someone else in the room, kind of a humility thing. Even now with a yt channel, I have to leave the room and do something else while my fiancée watches my videos.

Does anybody else have this problem? How do I get over this? Its like I have this underlying fear of, what if they don't like it or what if they point out a flaw. I don't mind criticizm, but I'd rather have it from a point of view of someone I dont personally know.
 
You're not the only one xD. I hate watching my vids (when they are done) with other people. I don't know why, but for some reason I'm OK with watching them with others before I upload them.

In order to conquer this problem, I'd suggest to fully prepare yourself for any and all criticism. Remember, we can all always improve and I don't think your fiancée will think any less of you if they have any suggestions.

I think the reason is because when a family member watches it, you're more conscious of them viewing it and you care more about what they think than random strangers.
 
Yeah I dont like to either. Like i don't like to so that incase they don't like it they don't feel like they have to fake that they like it since im right there. My friends and family can watch my channel if they want to, but I don't show them things really. I have my channel so that my friends and family can find it easy if they want to. I know that some of them watch my channel, and they do it because they want to not just because I was like hey here is my video.
 
Im glad I'm not the only one with this issue haha! Like you guys have said, I dont mind if they watch it, but I dont bring it up, or even mention the fact that I have a channel at all. I've made a few fb posts linking my channel, so they must have seen it at some point, but I wont flat out tell them

I am the exact same way..I get so embarassed i feel like i am exposed! So yeah you are definitely not alone
 
I hate to see myself! Some days ago my girlfriend told me she is really interested to make my channel a thing because she thinks I deserve more subscribers, and she was watching one of my videos. I was like: "OH GAWD TURN IT OFF", haha!
