Am I the only one?

When I was first told about adblock, someone downloaded it for me so that I could try it on my laptop. It was actually more annoying to use than the advertisements. A few months later I had to take my computer to the shop because my programs were not working properly. I can't say if it was the adblocker or if the same person I mentioned downloaded something extra but I haven't redownloaded it since. My computer is working fine now, but only after the expensive technician was done cleaning it out. Before that I had spent months trying to figure out what was wrong with.

The reason I don't use adblock is more for my peace of mine that my computer will be fine rather than to feed YouTubers. If it puts bacon on the table for content creators as well, then that's wonderful.

:giggle: Please be careful with your downloaded.

Adblock or Adblock plus?

Yeah, I tried Adblock and it worked about as well as a playdoh hammer hammers a nail. Adblock Plus works great for me without any problems.

Yeah I get that portion of it but then you'll have fans who will most likely feel left out that their favourite creator can't share everything with them (think like a die hard fan that might be young and not have money that can easily be disposed)
I don't think your talking about the same thing. I think you are meaning "paid subscriptions" which is where you have to pay to subscribe. I'm talking about the "youtube subscription" where you pay youtube 8 dollars or something a month and then you don't see any ads on the site. And your 8 dollars gets shared out to the creators that you watch in that month. It doesn't affect any fans, gives youtube and the people you watch extra money, I cant see how its a bad thing?

When I found out about adblock, I religiously used it. But after being partnered, I realized how important to other youtubers it was when you turn it off.

I specifically have adblock off on youtube to help you guys and all my friends out!

Anyone else do this?

I use to use it, now I loathe it I understand it from a normal users perspective, but I think with YouTube RED it will be interesting to see how things change.

i pretty much never use adblock the only time i do being for when i am legit watching tv series and films and i get about a million pop ups in my face but for youtube nah its five seconds sometimes 30 seconds in rare cases that's nothing and it's really not asking alot for the time and effort the creator puts in plus it's still free content.

i may turn it on if i am checking in on what dodgy youtubers are doing tho...

I feel it is quiet hypocritical if you disable it for Youtube but leave it on for other sites. Ads is the only way some sites can get funds the same as Youtube creators so i feel if you disable it on some sites you should disable it on all.. just my view very hypocritical
