You want long winded tags. Use Youtubes Keyword tool and copy the link address of the popular channel and input it into the keyword tool. I'm not 100% sure but i believe it shows words used for that video to come up. It's pretty handy. You also want to use Google adwords keyword tool to find out what words people have been putting in the google search to come up with certain videos, putting these in will help your video expand to google search results.

i never understood how those work, and every video on YouTube I find of people explaining it is one of those poor audio quality videos that talk about every little thing on the page.
