Hi everyone! I just have a quick question, I made a couple of videos so far as my channel is new and im finding my feet content/editing wise. so far my videos have received at least 300 views each (one was a test video and is stuck at 300+, ill put it down to learning curve) one is at 463 and the other is only a couple of days old and is being verified now. Is this normal? What should i be expecting or aiming for view wise as a new channel? so far i've received a lot of positive feedback from the people who've watched it but i just wanted to get a feel from people who know more about it than I.

Thankies in advance! :D

also, this thread is mod approved :P

That is well above what you should be getting your a channel of your size. However it seems you are not doing enough to attract actual subscribers. Perhaps you could work on trying to make viewers want to subscribe. I don't know how you could go about doing that though.

301+ means that your getting a lot of traffic very quickly and Youtube is auditing the views. So be prepared for the video to jump up in views quickly.

The question should really be...do you think you are doing it right? No amount of comments and feedback from others should determine your worth and credibility as a content creator. Have a cup of coffee, tea ,tequila if you must and ask yourself if you are happy with your growth and if not what you should do to hit the goals you have set for yourself. You can try different methods of engagement outside youtube or even get creative and try out new stuff to draw in a crowd t o your channel. It always boils down to you because you sir are awesome. :P

I spread the videos to my friends and friends of friends etc so i know where most of the views and likes are coming from, i think my subscriber problem is where im based. The people that are watching my videos wouldnt exactly be internet savvy, me being in Ireland, so where most people would watch the video and spread it around because the place is so small everyone wants to see someone they know make a video, not a lot of people subscribe to anything here, at least not the people that are watching my videos, even if they do enjoy them.[DOUBLEPOST=1367176430,1367176245][/DOUBLEPOST]

That sounds like great advice! Noted! I think the direction im heading in is good and im very chuffed at the response i've gotten so quickly but I don't think my vids are at their potential yet. Ill keep your advice in mind (kindof ironically :P)

Yep yep! Have faith in yourself and keep thinking of new ways and ideas to engage your fans. Everyone starts of slow...i had an epic slow start when i hit it off on yt a year ago..worse than what you are doing LOL...i was pretty much in the 20's view count for a few months before my channel took off..:)
