I still challenge you to put that theory to PewDiePie (literally ask him "If YouTube didn't pay you, would you still make videos for the love of videomaking, or does the pay define the quality and frequency of your posting?"). I am not in it for the money all i said is that after a certain point most people will turn it in to a job if it can montain them. It will be there modivation. If you look in the top 500 you will most likely find that all those channels make money through YouTube or outside sources. I think you could find a charity or 2 but even they need the money.if your in it for the moneywait wait not to fast 1. it will show un your videos that your not putting effort its not some "easy money" i personally didn't get paid on my channel ill be waiting when i get bit bigger because its unlikely that you want to receive $0.02 or $0.1 RIGHT?
If this is what you call "entertaining someone", you'd better go back to school for further training as you are quite a poor specimen of an entertainer. I have no idea what making a straw man means in your usage case, so that term is wasted on me. Even saying Most, begs the question of true motivation for said big channels. If passion isn't enough, and they need to make a career of it, which would be abandoned if the money were not high enough, I restate: "If you are only on YouTube to make money, you need to find a different cash corridor!" I didn't engage in another blow-by-blow with you because I saw no point in doing so.
