Adwords Test - What $5 Can Get You

I shared on social media in addition to this..not on reddit, though. Just facebook, instagram, and twitter but only on my personal profiles. I'd feel like I was spamming if I went to other people's profiles to promote my stuff
Oh you definitely don't have to spam others profiles to gain exposure. That does seem to be what a lot of people do though.

so paying for the ad it charges you per view? is there any other ways to do this? it really doesn't sound cost effective. What If i want to reach 100,000 people or so, if i had to pay for each individual view that would be so expensive... is there a way to pay for say, 1 day of ad hosting for a higher but better price?

You'd have a short campaign with a bigger spend. You set your daily budget or you could set your cost per click manually (higher the spend, the better the results if targeted properly). Broad keywords like "call of duty" will be more expensive than the longer-tail "call of duty funny montage" for example.

I might give it a go sometime :) thanks for the info!

I've used AdWords sparingly in the past, but I don't exactly create content which would be interesting to see in an advertisement, so I've always been quite unsure of how to market it with AdWords.

Reviews, how-to's etc... seem to market themselves quite well now that people do research into a product before buying it. It's probably better to post on relative forums and things to let others know your opinions. solutions etc... in order to increase views.
