Advice on sub4subs (subxcess, submenow, subpals etc)

Absolutely no. Sub4sub will give you a bunch of inactive subscribers that will never watch your videos. It's the same as having no subscribers. Don't do it, just no.

No, and I wasn't considering using them - i came here for advice on the topic. I am sure I am not the only new youtuber that has wondered what they are.

so just to be clear - do they just bump up your numbers with fake youtube accounts or are they just random people that will likely never interact with your videos?

A little of both. They're just to make your subscriber count look good. It's like fake boobs!

got it - so they are just a waste of time! thanks for help! They did seem a little scammy when i came across them but i wanted to check here to be sure.

would you put them in the same category as adwords and virool etc?

No, AdWords is really good for websites, not sure about YouTube since I haven't tried it yet.
 
they will just be subscribers that wont be active on your videos they will just make your subscriber count go up and like the other person said you will have lots of subs but not many views
 
It's the same as follow4follow...just numbers and no substance. People can always tell you've done it.
