Advice on how to grow my channel?

One thing I'd probably mention. Put some effort into your YT channel page, nice background but thats all thats there.

Networking is key. Try and do collaborations with other channels. Also, try working on getting better video quality for your videos (in HD and fitting the YouTube box). Another thing, if you're not comfortable with doing live commentaries to begin with, just record the game first then commentate over it later with a script or something. Also, try joining other YouTube related forums and gaming forums.

Just keep networking as much as you can, it's time consuming but in the end people will come.

You can straight up jack peoples titles and tags. That helps you end up in the related videos on the right hand columns. also you can make like 5 additional accounts so all your vids get 5 likes and favorites out of hte gate. You can watch each of your vids 300 times because below 300 views youtube doesn't audit them.

Just depends on how cheesy you want to get.

Agreed. Follow them on twitter. Like their videos and interact with them. I hit 150 subs in 3 weeks. No spamming, no fake subs/views.

I made a Facebook page for my show and then advertised that along with posting links on my personal FB as well as other forums.

The biggest thing that helped me was shoutouts from popular users with similar videos. Now and again I would find my inbox full of new subscribers, and I'd find out that someone with similar content had given me a shoutout.

Well it was nothing I had control over. I was just plodding along making videos. Someone more popular would find my channel and they'd mention it in their next video, and boom, all of a sudden I'd get a stack of subscribers. It's nice when it happens, but it doesn't happen often. The first time was probably about 5-6 months after I created my channel.
Like these other guys say, maybe "network" with others that have similar videos - comment on their uploads, etc. Maybe they'll like your videos and spread the news.

Oh, the other thing I noticed is when a popular YouTuber likes one of your videos, it shows up in his subscriber Feed (if he has it enabled). So once or twice I've noticed a spike in comments and subscribers and found out it was due to a popular YouTuber "liking" one of my videos and his subscribers saw the Like in his history and decided to have a look.

Also collaborating with someone and doing a dual commentary is a great way to get out there also.

Well my online rank is level 28, I don't tend to focus on time trial, mainly career mode and online races.

the best way i think to get fast views and subs is to get in eye of someone who has a lot of views and subs.. Ask if he can promote you, like in a video or in description.. Thats probably the fastest and easiest way for you, however if you wanna grow naturally you have to wait and have patience.. Make a few videos every week, create them for your soul at first, like you are only one whose watching, and then you will start getting people who like things you like, and then audience grow..
Now i am not some big channel so i can't learn you, but thats what i am doing and for now its working .
