Try to cut it down as much as possible, then split it into two episodes. Any more than two videos, and it seems to drag a bit, otherwise good luck :D

TO be honest, if there's no logical place to split it, theres no point in doing it. Also 20 minuets isn't that long really :p

There's ALWAYS a way to split a video. You just have to find it. This is a challenge every pro and semi-pro editor/producer faces. It exists for literally every TV show w/ a commercial break and every show with some degree of continuity between episodes.

The question is: Are you up to the challenge?

On YouTube? Think it's like forever. Doubt many people will watch a YouTube video that long, except when it is really, really awesome.

Also; 35 minutes will be a nightmare to edit? It's a luxury man! I edited roughly 5 hours of video down to 10 minutes (yes, I could just delete half of the footage) and I still think that video was to long, although it might be dependent on what kind of video you want to create (I don't do any commentary or so). To be honest, if you do a commentary with it it makes a lot of sense to me to split it in 4 episodes, and pick a few subject each episode. Might be nice for your subscribers to if you have some sort of miniseries.

Basically what this guy says, in its entirety. If you can't get 35 minutes of video down to fit your time frame (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 seconds), you're not making hard enough decisions. That said, if you can make 20 minutes as interesting as your standard, then go for it.

Commentary could work wonders, especially if you make this a series. I'd go for multiple episodes (3 or 4 videos of about 5-6 minutes sounds good). Make it a miniseries, draw it out, and use the response from the first video to improve the second video, then the third video, and the fourth video.

Good luck!

From what i've noticed, People's attention span on YouTube is pretty short 3-5 minutes....but then again some do watch 30 minute long Let'sPlays lol.
But like Andrew Flint said, Make sure you keep things interesting!
