Advice needed

Liking YTtalk
I am looking into ways on how I can improve my youtube channels performance as I am struggling to get viewing figures and subscribers.

I am not sure where to start though. I mainly do racing games, currently doing F1 2012 and I am moving into walkthroughs aswell.

Any help on how to improve will be appreciated

yeah... I don't know how to break this to you, but you don't need any help. Your channel is doing GREAT. You.... OHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I looked in your feed and clicked on the first video I saw thinking it was one of your uploads, you said you did racing games and it was "mini bike racers" so I assumed I was on your channel, I was seeing 16,000 views per video and over a million channel views and 16,000 subscribers and was like "umm... you need no help sir, HELP US" Ok ok, that's not your channel, you have 400 subs and are getting less than 20 views a vid with about 1200 over all views... yeah your big issue is why your subs aren't watching you. How'd you get your subs? Sub4sub? Cause if you sub4subbed a bunch that was your first mistake... I dunno what till tell you right now, gaming isn't my expertise.

Did you do Sub4sub at all? I noticed you got a real nice subscriber count but only around 12,000 views. If you are doing racing games be sure to video responses to racing videos. Little stuff like that. Go out and start watching other people who do similar videos. Get to know them. Learn from them. Do your homework man. It will help in the long run. Hell stay active here. Look for channels here on YTtalk that you can get to know. Collaborate with other people. It all adds up after a while and you will get some improvement from it. You just gotta keep pounding away.

Yeah, this is what I've noticed. The normal percentage for subs to views is about 33%, it seems most common and usual for a channel with 1000 subscribers to get somewhere between 3 and 400 views per video, with that going up on their really flashy videos. A really GOOD return is half or more, having 1000 subs and getting between 500 and 750 views per video. (at the low point of course) My point is, at 485 subscribers, you should be getting somewhere between 100 and 200 views at the least. And it'd be like, really great if you were getting past the 300 mark. But for you to be barely getting 30 views a video? Something's off here, that's why me and Ray's first conclusion was sub 4 subbing. Point is, I'm not gonna try to speculate how you got your subs, but if it was anything like sub 4 sub or botting etc, I'd suggest not doing that immediately and starting from scratch. It doesn't look good to have a high sub count but not have the views to show for it.

well he is subbed to over 200 people

Well whatever it is, I'm just saying, no judgement here. I don't look down on him no matter what it is, it's no big deal most people don't realize what sub 4 subbing really does to a channel, I just want him aware that to the more seasoned vloggers it's obvious to us and that doesn't look good so he should stop whatever he was doing to get those subs so his stats don't get even more out of wack.

I do now realise that sub4sub was a big mistake now as it from the comments down here it hasn't helped and I did have my suspicions for a while due to dodgy comments that weren't genuine. This is very appreciated!:)
I am a bit stuck on how to promote it though so that was mainly what I need help with as I don't want to seen as spamming others.
I don't upload minibikers to dispel the myth it was a liked video to save the confusion.

Don't worry bro, you haven't done too much damage. Just make sure every sub you get from this point forward is legit. Now I'm warning you, they'll come slow, but stick around this forum, be as social as possible, and you'll learn more and more and more, I'm gonna be doing help series on this kind of stuff in the future as well. There is no quick fix to getting your channel to take off, it doesn't exist. It will take hard work, planning, tagging, picking the right topics, listening to your audience, it's just like everything else in life, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. But yeah, you didn't know, it's not your fault, I did a little sub for sub and even botting in the beginning before I understood the nature of these things, we're all just learning, it's no big deal :)
