(advice found) I feel I'm Ready to Enter the World of Sponsorships

I'm specifically seeking advice from people who already have done Sponsorships.

I have a relatively small channel subscriberwise but I've done some analysis on my Youtube Analytics and I feel I'm almost ready to start looking at sponsorships and working with brands.

I have an active audience that enjoys watching my videos, I have actual fans, a decent view count in relation to my channel size, and a significantly higher growth rate than ever before in my channel's history. I trust my audience and they trust me.

My channel is mainly targeted towards people between the age of 16 and 32, who love gaming, who love comedy done in a cartoony, lighthearted fashion, and even fellow Youtubers below 1000 subscribers who more or less fall into the gaming category. I mostly record Minecraft and my channel has recently taken a more family-friendly attitude towards content creation.

What are your thoughts on this?

I wouldn't join any network even if I had 2000 subs. I wasn't in any but a lot of people were and they will tell you not to join. You can read so many threds on this forum about this topic :up2:

If you're looking for a network, I've seen a few with no lock ins, so you can just get a taste of what it's like without a big threat.

I'm not looking for networks, I'm asking for advice on Sponsorships in particular.

Not to be a downer but I don't think you're ready for this step. Sponsors will only spend their money if they think they're gonna get more money in return, and at the moment it seems unlikely that your channel and your subscribers will be able to do that. You shouldn't be too eager about sponsorships, just keep doing YouTube and enjoying it and if someday you're still interested in it then go for it.

Unfortunately, I think that even if you were to add a zero your subscribers and a few zeros to your video counts, it would still be extremely unlikely for you to find a sponsorship.

As a frame of reference, a company could bid as low as $.01 on Adwords to have their advertisement displayed on YouTube.

You're currently averaging a touch less than 100 views on each of your videos... they could pay you, have a sponsorship, and have you mention their product in a video or spend only $1 to have the same number of people watch their 30 second ad while giving them far tighter controls on who sees it.

sorry buddy, your not even close to being big enough to get any sort of paid sponsorship or sponsored videos. i would not even begin to think of sponsorship's until you hit 10k (more likely 50k) and a ton more views

i will give you a example. i have 2.5k subs. i am currently getting about 4k views every day. according to bluebook i could charge $27 for a sponsored video. for the time and effort involved in making a specific video for a sponsor, it would be pointless

FYI. bluebook is a great site that tells you roughly what you can charge for various things. dedicated video, shout out etc. it takes into account not only subs and views but also engagements. comments, demographics etc etc

its a free signup - www.socialbluebook.com so go check yours out, let me know how you get on

It's all about the numbers for companies looking to sponsor channels, in particular the number of daily views. According to Socialblade, your channel gets 23 views per day. That's simply not enough for a company to want to invest $$ in a channel.
