Advice for YouTubers with no motivation.

Motivation is a tricky thing. So much of youtube is marketing and you can find yourself drained of the resources it takes to actually make a video.

As someone who produces daily content, I can relate to struggles with motivation. Here are my tips:

1. Record when you feel like recording. Usually there will be at least one day a week I feel creative and chipper. I try to record all my videos for the week on that day, and edit throughout the rest of the week.
2. If I go through a slump where for whatever reason I'm not feeling inspired, I go back to recording the videos I love. They may not perform as well, but I find it inspires me again and helps me keep producing content.
3. Try as hard as you can not to focus on the numbers. I'm a sucker for this myself - I'm so inspired when my channel is growing because I thrive off it, but when it stagnates I find it harder to produce. Once again, my solution is to go back to the content I love, even if it doesn't perform as well.

I don't need to feel inspired to edit but I do need to feel inspired to record, so it's all about getting yourself in the right mind frame and once you're there, taking advantage of it for all it's worth.

Thank you so much for this, I was getting really demotivated because I have a week on youtube in which I´ve uploaded daily and got only like 2 subs, but this gave me some motivation, thanks again ^^

I put hours and hours into my videos but I've been getting lazy with it because I barely break double digits with my videos. That's my de-motivator. I do like to do it though and the idea of doing something I like to at least make extra money is very appealing. In the end, I just keep doing it because I like to. I get to be stupid and record in some way, shape, or form.

I think everybody who ever even attempts to start, and run, a channel will come across threads like this. We all need a swift kick up the behind at times, whether that's through laziness, or demotivation.

I completely agree with this: You forgot why you started.
And unfortunately, it can become too easy to do this, myself being one of them.

Reaching a milestone can be so motivating. but also talking with other Youtubers or doing whatever you feel like doing. I think you shouldn't be pressured to post something you don't want/enjoy to film

These were some awesome tips, IJustDidAFunny, thanks for sharing them! :D
