Advice for a small gaming channel to grow?

Well I am passing through the same difficulties as you are but I agree on making yourself standout. Why should I watch you if I could watch him who can provide just as good content. Keep on posting on forums etc... You never know when one of your videos can go out with Bang!!!!

Yea, I am working on myself, once I hit that 50 mark in about 24hrs I had gained 14 more subs. Has slowed down since but am working on a new angle towards things and trying to get some new artwork made

There is one advice that I don't like when people say it, because it is only part of the equation "Be consistent". Consistency only works if you have content that people would care about or watch. I would say... keep evolving and changing until you find something that works and then stick to it.

If you are unhappy about growth, change.

Focusing on CoD as your main content is not good for small channel due to fact that finding spot in this game's niche on youtube is close to 0% at this point. I'd suggest to start something else. Consisten is the key! regular uploads - a must!

Reddit is evil for small Youtubers lol. I mean you get the views but audience retention is low and more often than not there will leave dislikes.
I personally recommend commenting on others and make friends on Youtube, that's how I grew. :D

Reddit is the worst lol. Engaging your audience and collaborating with others can definitely help your channel grow :D

Was wondering if any of you have had much success and how you got there. I post on reddit (horrible btw) a few gaming forums on my phone, and social media. Some of my tweets have had thousands of views but only like 1-2 clicks. Not going to lie it's disheartening at times.

TBH growing a channel that is JUST a gaming channel is going to be extremely difficult unless you get lucky/already have a large social media following from somewhere else. You should try doing something else other then gaming, who knows maybe people will like that better then you can do gaming videos along side that.

There is no secret recipe for success. Everyone is going to tell you the same thing. Be original, creative, different, entertaining, consistent, respond to comments, have high quality, share on social networks and so on. Just strive to create a channel that you can be proud of.

If you really want a secret? Be a cute/hot/sexy girl and post videos of cute cats punching dudes in the balls with the most misleading thumbnails ever!
