Advice for a small gaming channel to grow?

Was wondering if any of you have had much success and how you got there. I post on reddit (horrible btw) a few gaming forums on my phone, and social media. Some of my tweets have had thousands of views but only like 1-2 clicks. Not going to lie it's disheartening at times.

As a fellow gamer, try being different. Do something that makes you stand out, because the truth is, there's a lot of YouTube gamers.

Be different, be yourself. :)

I do those mean it's hard to get different content from call of duty (my primary game) but yea. For me I have some ideas but to publish one video would take a month to do. Would it be worth it I don't know. I am trying to expand my horizons though starting a Diablo 3 series, may do some Killer Instinct or something smaller.

Reddit is evil for small Youtubers lol. I mean you get the views but audience retention is low and more often than not there will leave dislikes.
I personally recommend commenting on others and make friends on Youtube, that's how I grew. :D

Yea I have been to other channels commenting and whatnot, have made a few friends on my own videos, growing to me is the hardest part. Have read places where after 100 subs the next hardest part is getting to 1k, like you will jump up some there but after 1k you steadily grow.

If you have some more unique ideas, maybe you can work on those on the side? Then the normal videos will come out regularly, but some special videos will only come out once a month or so? :)

Trust me, it can really pay off to make something unique - as before stated, there are a lot of gamers out there, so it is hard to grow if you make "the same as everybody else" :) Why should they watch you then, and not somebody else? :P

I know how you feel about it being disheartening. I have had my channel for almost 6 months and have had little growth. But, if you are persistent, you will improve over time and people will notice.

Am trying to be, my area I am chasing after most is hard to do, pub lobbies suck without people to play with most of the time, everything is so sparatic
