Advice for a LP?

Heresrichieee

Mentally Unstable.
I'm not sure where to post this...I'm guessing it would fit in here?...I dunno BUT

I'm planing on having my first LP on my channel soon. The only problem I have is that I post three times a week.Which usually consists of two vlogs. And a gaming video for the end of the week. So. If I were to say...play a Pokémon game each episode lasting around 10-20 Minutes. That LP would last till the middle of next year xD so I'm not sure what to do...I could do 30 Minutes each episode. But I'm not sure if people will watch an "unknown" youtuber for that long. What do you guys think?

I would advise you to not do LPs until you have 10K+ subs. At that point many of them know and love your content and wouldn't mind watching a LP video that you put out.

I am not sure what an LP is, a Lip Sync video??
I dont know what to say, if doing an LP, (is it like doing a music video then) sounds like work to you,
it really sounds like you dont want to do it.
Live Parody? I am really trying to get a handle on what LP is ... *off to google it.

That's a valid point. However. 10K Subs is a Long way from where I'm at.

Try to keep the LPs around the 10-15min mark. It creates a challenge while your gaming but also ensures your videos aren't too long, it also creates a challenge while editing if you messed up too much and ended up with a 40min file since you have to edit it down xD. That said, depending on what you want your channel to be about or stand for, you might find the LP episodes go longer than expected every now and then. You could just record a long session and just split the video into 10-15min segments. LPs can go as long as you want in terms of game length. If you're worried, do more of a random LP, not a sequential 1. That way you can stop and start whenever without worrying about it going for months on end.

Don't worry about that. Everyone will tell you not to do LPs until you hit (x)Ksubs but it's best you start practicing now, just don't hit 30-40min videos like I did xD Keep them around 10-15mins. But part of the reason people say to avoid LPs is viewer retention can be lowered on longer videos. If it's what you want to do though, do it, just do it right-ish. lol

He can practice, he doesn't necessarily have to upload it.

I know that. My channel has a standard. I see no point in doing it if I'm not entertaining anyone.

How do you know if you are/aren't entertaining anyone, if you don't check it out? ;P *just to be sliiightly nitpicking, but also kinda helpful in my own weird way*
