Advice about new camera (canon t5i)

Ya, I don't have any lighting, so I have to wait for around 4pm so the light shines into my room, so I can film. Thanks for the tips!
Ya no problem. A light kit should be your next investment imo. You can get one pretty cheap at b&h's website. Theres Also some good diy tutorials on Youtube though.

Can't tell you that it's best investment... from t2i to t5i they're basically same, very small changes and all crop sensored I think... not sure about t5i, but if it's same as t4i then it's crop sensored...
If I were you, I would consider getting some lenses... they're playing the biggest role in it, sometimes t3i with cool lens can deliver something that's better than 5D mk3.
But if lenses weren't your concern, then you should of bought full sensor camera, like 5D mk2, which is 1500 bucks I think... that's almost lowest investment you could make to improve your stuff.

I used a T4i for a good year or so. Great camera. You wont be disappointed!
Just upgraded to the EOS 70D now though ;) Loving it!

Make sure you get an external mic - I used an Audio Technica ATR-3350 with the T4i and it worked alongside the camera superb.

I got a Rode Videomic Pro that I was using with the T2i. They are pretty much the same cameras, except for the touch screen and the swivel screen. I hope to keep this camera for a couple years before I upgrade to a full sensor. I also got the kit STM lens, even though I had the previous kit lens.

I would like to get a really nice wide prime lens. I got the nifty fifty, but would like to get something wider than that. What do you recommend for video?
