Do you think paying for ads on YouTube is worth it? I’ve done it in the past where I achieved close to nothing but could it be something I didn’t do right?

How are you measuring success? $/Subs, Earned Views, Comparative retention of adwords vs organic?
What are you trying to achieve? There are so many strategies and so many ways to measure results....
 
If it hasnt worked for you in the past I would suggest not doing it again.

I have a seperate new channel that I soon plan on using Adwords to see if it helps generate views.

Advertising on facebook has actually given us a couple of views extra as of so far.
Its all because, there are so many competitors that even ur fans tend to go back to the popular youtubers, cause that is the mainstream thing to do.
So with these facebook posts, youre kind of just reminding ur viewers that u still exist and you do have a schedule which they constantly keep forgetting and and and.
 
Other social media platforms like facebook, twitter & instagram are a much better way to get views/subs. That way you have more genuine views & subscribers!
Tag people, use hashtags on instagram & twitter & tag people on there too! Have friends & family share your content if you're comfortable with that.
