I am looking to promote my videos out to a wider audience, but I seriously have no idea where to start. I have done as much as I can on YTtalk without spamming everyone. So, are there other places I should start looking at?

Well then use it, its something that isn't often mentioned (not sure why , as soon as I started using it I started getting around 30-40 % more views per day), if you want to learn more about it just literally put into google "SEO Youtube" and read about it , it honestly helps a lot.

Adwords without the headache of making your own campaign I guess.
