Adding a PayPal 'Donate' button to your channel links?

Its usually what people would do on a website, but id advise is not to use it as it might turn some people off, as they will see you as a money ***** imo.
 
I would only really do it if I needed the donations to keep my channel going, or if I'm giving away tips and things which I could actually sell.. otherwise I think it's just a cheap way of trying to make a little money off youtube, if you're a partner and making money off that I don't see why a donation button is needed :)
 
I'd recommend not putting up a donate button unless Subscribers ask for it, or if it's for a specific purpose like a new mic and you explain that, that way people "know" what their donation go towards specifically.
