Acting tips?!

So I make skits, and I am really trying to be a better actress. I tried doing plays but I really don't like it, I'd rather do skits but I never really had any formal acting "training"...does anyone know what they're doing and would like to help me out?

Like anything else the more you do it the better you will be at it. Acting is a skill, a hard skill to learn. However, all I can say is try to have fun, get rid of feeling awkward (gets int he way), and dont look in the camera lens lol (unless the script says to)

Theater acting and film acting are very different, and should never be used for one another (unless that's what you're going for). My favorite type of acting is known as method acting. Acting where the talents becomes the character and takes on a completely new personality.

As an example let's take two well known actors! Johnny Depp, and Vin Diesel. While both are great actors, and have wonderful movies their acting styles are completely different. Vin Diesel likes to play, well, Vin Diesel in all his movies. His character don't really have a wide range of differences to his normal personality! Johnny Depp (method acting) however is able to encompass many different characters, and utilize them all fairly well when preforming.

If you get a chance to take an improv class, do it! I've being doing it for over 10 years and help immensely, especially doing YouTube videos.

Well, my acting was much worse before, but since I started watching YouTube vlogs especially SUPERWOMAN, I have realized that once you act, you've to dig a dug deep inside your heart, what's funny thing that makes you LAUGH OUT LOUD, and bingo your acting comes out on your face.

for me, funny thing is acting childish and acting like crazy, doing random silly things, bcz they satisfy my HEART
So they turn out to be cool funny skit
