A teaser before posting the real video?

Hey peeps,

I make Photoshop Time lapse videos and finished a new one this weekend. I want to upload it next week and thinking of to launch a 20 sec teaser to gain some interest. Just a few glimpse.. teasing the ppl a bit.

Just for the strategy part; is this a good way to get some attention or is it a no-go ?

What are your thoughts / experience with this?

I imagine its good for any kind of following say if you have an active fanbase just wanting to see your work immediately :D I don't see the harm actually XD

I used to do this for my videos, but to be honest I really don't see the point anymore. If people like my videos they will watch them. They're not just going to watch them because I released a teaser.

I kind of agree with this. Unless it's for something out of the ordinary or you've got a huge sub base or something, there isn't too much of a reason for it. Also, it means that you have the added pressure of making any teaser amazing, because if it isn't, it might actually make people not want to watch the actual thing.

It's up to you, though. You could try it once and see how it does.
