So guys my story begins in a small country called Ireland. Where all I wanted to do was make videos and become famous
I arrive home from school. Turn on my laptop. What video should I make?A speedmodel because I am good at modelling
so video done, editing done, upload done and the wait begins
check back 15 mins later. No views. 15 more mins later, no view. Hour later no views. Week later, no views. Month later, no views. Toxic mindset kicks in. I give up. I knew in my head it was just luck...
So a month passes I return and remove, what was in my head, a failed video. I decide, hey not many people take on this niche. I spend countless hours studying the elder scrolls wikis and playing the game. Why not make a lore channel! So I did. Hours and hours of editing and learning how to use sony vegas and my first lore video is done and uploaded. I expect instant results once again because I thought to myself, this time I put heart into the video. However what I failed to realize was the real problems with my mindset towards youtube.
Two days later I am so excited for future results for first lore video I make another one, much faster and of less quality still with hours of work however. A month passes and nothing. This time I am done. So after months and months of this depressing toxic attitude I return a month ago to YouTube for my last try. But this time I realize what needs to be done. Tagging, thumbnails, descriptions, titles, forums, consistency of uploads, good quality, to actually sound like a human being with different emotions and not a monotone robot. So here I am, one month later, 6 or 7 videos uploaded, constantly on this forum and another, enjoying YouTube not worrying about views and subs and I look to my subscriber count after some of these videos to see I have gained 15 in just two weeks!I was right! It was my attitude I once had!Now I love YouTube. I wake up with ideas. I spend hours working on my videos, even more then I use to learning more and more everyday.
My whole point to this was what I expected compared to the reality of the situation. We, as a community all have a chance. Everything I listed. Be happy, good content, be consistent with it, guys seriously if you read this take it into consideration!Go and look at your channel and study it.Is there something you can do better?I am doing this every day trying to learn from my mistakes! These forums have woken me up to the reality of all our situations. Its not luck that gets you on YouTubes high ranks, it's our will to do so. Do you really want this, ask yourself?Do you enjoy making these videos. Stop worrying about views and subs, if YouTube was meant to be your job it will! And if thats what you really want for your future then put effort in!Treat it like a job not a hobby!Effort and consistency go a long way I promise you. My channel has done immaculate in 3 weeks compared to the year beforehand.
I hope you don't feel like this was gibberish I am trying to help motivate!Seriously people say it takes years, but upload the right things the right way and you will achieve it I promise
