A story of a big guy and a little guy

Hopefully this is the right place for this thread.

When I first started my channel a little over a year ago, I've had one guy that was kinda like my YT "idol". He was basically the one that inspired me to create a channel in the first place, and certainly the one I model my channel and content on, and aspire to be like some day.

I've had some correspondence with him via the game community we are both a part of, and he has also responded to an email I sent him regarding how I should do things with my channel that was a big help.

To put things into perspective, I am at 224 subs, he is at 81,000.

And he's just subscribed to me.

I'm like a teenage girl at a rock concert.

Has anything like this happened to any of you?
 
Lazy Game Reviews, my inspiration, added both of my channels (Conso1727 and VGP) on his G+ circle. It is far to my real dream, like having him comment on one of my videos, or even collaborate with me, but it is still something.
 
I've been in games with a guy with 6,500 subs - he's my 'big guy' I guess. And yes, he subbed to me! But then everyone else is the 'big guy' in comparison. If I didn't laugh, I'd cry, and possibly cry a little more..and a few minutes after that. Oh well, if I can't laugh at myself, everyone else will anyway! :P
