A shotgun or a mic?

Me and my friend are vloggers and and we're trying to decide. Do we need a shotgun mic or a regular mic (i was thinking of AT-2020 as a usb mic)

What exactly are you using to vlog with?

well portability wise I'd recommend a shotgun mic that can be directly mounted on to your camera, however if you're gonna set up a stuio at home and just record without moving around a condenser microphone might be better
