A question on Subscribers

Ok this is just a question I would like to hear opinions on. If you make good quality content(both audio and visual) and you are consistent twice a week and you tag well and your active on forums is there genuinally any possible way for you to fail?Like as in they say absolutely anybody can achieve greatness on YouTube and I really am a firm believer in that process. So you give your 2 cents and you get it back?Just wondering what you guys think too :D

(also move this to right forum if its in wrong one, i apoligise if it is)

anyone can fail but what is failure? well you have to ask what do you want out of youtube? if you want to be big and it never happens then you failed but let's say your just happy with 100 subs and anything past that would be awesome then you didn't fail it's all about perspective.

You can't fail if you are always trying...because not trying is the only failure.

There's a lot more to being "successful" or whatever on YT than being consistent, uploading and being on forums. Some people I've seen have 3k subs after 3 years, is 3K A LOT? YES, is 3 years a long time? YES - it's all about where you want to be, like adhdzombieslayer said. Are you trying to make a living off YT? Then GOOD LUCK because it's going to be a long road that you may never reach. If you enjoy YT then keep going, there is no guarantee anyone will make it though you can try your best which is all you can really do.[DOUBLEPOST=1469677294,1469677234][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think he's being more realistic on the terms of failing than being psychologically deep about it lol --

So did I, all you can do is keep trying and improving in every way you can...find satisfaction in the process and always stay optimistic. Sometimes a pithy statement is what you need to move forward. You can't control people. To be truly realistic I guess you could get degrees in Psychology and Economics and try to understand the patterns of people...but I'd prefer pleasure in the process.

OP's question is asking about failing in terms of "becoming big on YT" and becoming big if he sticks to "Uploading Daily, Consistency, and being active on forums" so I'm not sure what your "because not trying is failing" really has to do with what he's really asking - I don't think he's asking for motivation rather actually asking the question will he become big if he follows those certain steps. I think zombie hit the nail on the head and you're kinda going off in another direction...not a bad direction but not in the way the OP is actually asking about.

Thanks for the feedback!

The term "quality " is not clear. What does it mean? A focused camera and clear mic? I'd say so, but that could be boring. A blurry but exciting video of a 6 year old doing a slam dunk? Fun to see but certainly without production value. This is not against the OP, because I've heard this term non stop aboutyoutube videos. But the secret is to somehow combine, or balance the two to draw an audience to you, but since everyone on earth can use YouTube, that's hard to answer clearly.

Yes you can fail. What is the bar of success? Let's assume it's to be a millionaire playing games all day. Well, yea, you failed. If it's expanding an audience and retaining them, maybe you've succeeded
