Okay so I started my channel as a let's play/gaming channel and now I have found/stumbled upon a new style of video that I want to add to my channel. It's mainly where I speak to my audience and react/review short clips of videos, pics and/or just speaking about topics. People have seemed to like it and really enjoy it, they tell me to do more so I will but... Is it bad for the opposite niche if I do this style of video along side with my gaming?

My current schedule is 2 gaming videos then 1 video that is review style, these review style videos are very short (3-6 minutes) versus my gaming videos are almost always longer than 8 minutes. My first 120 videos are gaming so I don't want to neglect the initial reason for the channel. I definitely want to do both styles but... Is it too much and is it bad for the other niche?

Make a couple of those new videos and look how your audience reacts. If the response is good, then keep doing them, because your audience seems to like the new addition to your channel. On the other hand, if you get mixed reviews, drop the idea and stick to your regular formular. It's never a bad idea to try out new things ;).

I think it is better to produce videos that you always like to make. I am running a mixed content channel but in a one common style. You can say it is an educational channel but it contains a mixture of different categories in the same field. I am happy with this trend because it has less competition and it does not conflict with the amount of earnings so far.
