A Message of Motivation

Hey everyone. So for some reason a force greater than I has overcome me to post a message on here that will hopefully bring a couple peoples day around or will make others stop and say "alright, I can do this!" As we all know, YouTube is a monster and getting noticed is nearly impossible. There are days where this thought gets me down when I realize all the work I've put into my channel for little results. But there are certain things you can tell yourself to turn those thoughts around and get back on the hot seat in front or behind the camera:
1. You may not have a huge fan base, but you have A FAN BASE! Even though it may not be crawling with people wanting to stalk every minute of your life, there are people out there that watched your content and said "hey, this dude or chick is pretty awesome!" and chose to become part of your life by hitting subscribe! Be thankful for those who do choose to join your fan base.
2. You are always one video away from your big break. Your next video could very well be the thing that explodes on the web and brings you to YouTube fame! Why stop when you're one step away!?
3. Check out some of your older videos and compare them to the videos you do now. Whoever you are, there will always be a significant difference in the quality of the video. You may not be famous yet, but you sure learned to do something cool with your life!
4. If you've been trying at the YouTube game for over a year, check out your growth compared to what you are today. I guarantee last August you were no where close to the point you are at now! Maybe next August you'll be 5x bigger! Who knows?!

So you may not be PewDiePie or JennaMarbles or whatever, but you're you and people out there think you're cool enough to hit that subscribe button or sit and watch your content. That should mean something right? :)
 
That was a great message :) I don't know how well 4 works for me but I guess 17 subscribers in about a year is better than leaving YouTube plus 1 makes me happy to have people who like me.
 
Thanks. Very nice message you wrote there, and I agree. So you may not have a million subs, but you might have 100...and that's 100 people that think what you do is great, or meaningful, or entertaining. It's not easy to always remember that.

Exactly, but its those who remember that who overcome the impossible and grow much bigger in the end :)
 
Good post, I am at that lack of motivation stage, mainly for reasons of health stopping me from doing things but I am working on it. You have given me a few things to think about , so thank you :)
