A matter of exclusivity...

Hey community, I would like to present you with an interesting idea I've been playing with for a couple of weeks now...

My Twitter has been seeing a rise in activity lately, and I noticed that more people are starting to connect with me through it. As a form of "reward" and an incentive to go follow me there, I was wondering if it might be a good idea to post new videos on my Twitter a day early, so that my followers are amongst the first to see it.

It would give people a good reason to follow me on Twitter, and it would give the people who already follow me a feeling of "being special", but that's just what I think.

Your thoughts on this, please...

Depends on why they're following you. If they follow you because they're fans of you, yes this will work. if it's the average like, following you to get followed back and grow their twitter kinda thing, they won't really care. But when it comes to fans, making them feel like they get special perks is always a good thing.

It's not a case of "follow4follow", I don't do that kind of thing. When I see someone follows me I check out their Twitter, but if I have no further interest in them I won't follow them. It keeps my list nice and clean :)

This is purely an incentive to get people to follow me on Twitter because it gives them videos a day early. In the long run, this kind of thing can be very good to get your content more spread out I think...

Oh! I get ya, you're not saying this is for the followers you have, it's to get your subs to want to follow you. It might work, no reason not to you won't look bad by doing it or anything.

Exactly! I don't think there's anything negative to take from this, if people whine about it being unfair I can simply direct them to my Twitter so they can stay truly up-to-date!

yeah its a great idea KGATV does it on his Facebook page, i love the incentives.
How does that turn out? What kind of crowd does it attract, how is the general response? Help me out here KGATV!

Personally, I prefer to keep it simple and upload videos. If they like your vids, they will subscribe.

Well so far I've only done it once on my Facebook page, and the people who liked the page loved it. More than half who "liked" the page watched the video before it went live :) I defiantly plan on doing it more

He's trying to get more followers on twitter, not subs on youtube lol

I must be missing something. How can he post videos on Twitter without his YouTube subscribers seeing it in their YouTube Feed? Is he talking about doing a Vine or IG mini-movie?
