A good voice recording software

Just wanting to know what are the best one out there, categorized seperately from paid - free

I have never used any paid voice recording software, my software of choice is Audacity

Yes most video recorders does have voice recording aswell, but i prefer to actually here my voice on the headphones while I talk on the mic to actually gauge the quality and sound level of my settings while I talk, is there a software like that?

Well I mean you could just do a playback on your computer if that helps?

Like in your microphone settings there should be a playback option on your computer.

Just make sure you have headphones in or nightmares happen.

Use "Audacity", it has everything, you can even make yourself sound different if you want to. Paid audio recording software is difficult, because they are all kind of good, when you pay for them, it just depends which one is easier to use. That my friend, I don't know.

Audacity is just perfect for anything. I myself have a mic which has some static noise but with Audacity you can easily solve this and get rid of background noises etc.
