Hi,

I'm am starting to learn making my own videos on Windows Movie Maker, but the software is pretty
basic to make videos and I only have a dual-core on my PC. (Windows 7)

Any recommendations on what good video editing software win my slow PC.

My ram is just 4GB

Any help would be appreciated.

The question is not what software you need , but rather what video quality you be working with. It will be hard to work with full HD 1080p on this machine I would even say impossible. I have very strong PC and for editing it works great but as soon as I start adding lots of effects it's start to lag. Just as a example I have 16gb rams.

If you record in HD then you have to convert it to less quality format which you will not have any problems working with. As to software try sony vegas pro, for simple editing it will do. Use the latest version possible for faster improved editing. Lastest software will handle same format faster.

Cyberlink Power Director 12! Fastest there is!

For me I wouldn`t use anything for video other than cyberlink power director, always comes top or very near top of magazine tests, I currently have version 12, but they have just released new version 13.
