A camera to record with

So I am going to be starting a channel which consists of skits, parodies and vlogs and I'm looking for a camera to buy. So far, I've found a camera (Nikon D3100) and it looks amazing but I'm just wondering if anyone knows about another camera that can do a similar or maybe better job than this camera for a cheaper price? Thank you

For video, as far as I know Canon 600D or 60D may be better, but they're both more expensive. You probably won't get a good camera for lower price, since D3100 is entry-level DSLR (meaning it's in the lowest price range).

I suggest you buy second-hand DSLR for the same price. Or, even better, buy used D3100 and spend the rest of the money on lenses.

As far as I know Nikon D3100 is for the beginner, if you need a better price, you may need search out Samsung, JVC and other brand except Nikon and Canon.
