8,000 view video not gaining money

Ok so i put a video up two days ago and it went crazy with views... it has only appeared on my analytics today... showing over 17,000 minutes watched on it yet £0.00 money earned on it ... surely this is a mistake, the video is monetized and with that amount of views i should have seen some but of cash appear on it, can anyone advise clearly on whats going on ?

Is it perhaps copyrighted in some way, shape, or form? That could be the issue, but I'm guessing since it's monetized it probably isn't... a bit peculiar.
 
Yeah its just a gta video .. i do these on my site all the time every otherone is monetized and earning... i checked the analytics and hovered over the cash part and says it could take up to 7 days for a change to appear ... guess ill have to wait
 
Maybe your network couldn't get ads on the video before it gained all the views. That's happened to me a few times.

I could be wrong, it could just be that it hasn't updated yet, but I normally don't see ads on my videos for up to 4 hours after I upload them. But, then again I don't really do YouTube for the money, I just do it for a hobby and College work haha
 
who knows .. adds have been placed on my videos instantly sometimes ... but checking my videos now it seems no adds are on them anymore .. must be just updating or something ... only reason is i wanan see how much money its made im not all about the money , but i was one of the first youtubers to put the video out so just keen to see how it performed thats all
 
yeah and another comforting thing, when i select to put them in order of highest to lowest . the one with £0.00 goes to the top as if it was the highest???
 
First of all Rockstar prohibit monetisation of their video games. 2nd; all the views may not be monetised views, meaning some or all people either watched the video with AdBlock turned on or ads were not displayed or served by YouTube/Network to any viewers who watched the video. Otherwise if the video is very recent, give it at least a week to be sure.
