I think my video camera (Samsung HD handycam) is 1080p. I have a Motorola Android 3 that also has a 1080p video camera on it as well. The video on my phone almost seems better than my video camera, haha. The video camera was only a few 100 bucks anyways so its a cheapo. The one I was is about 800 bucks but its so nice!

Which one is that Shawn? One I would love is one of the Sony Handycams theyre about £1000 so maybe $1600 or so, they look amazing but you can get really good quality out of ones quarter the price.

720p works out fine for me! I think I have only ever had one snarky comment about it..1080p does take longer to upload and looks a bit off.:smug:

it all depends on what you can render out and upload in good time. you dont wanan be making a 1080p 3 minute video thats gonna take days to render and upload... for playing on pcs and mobile devices 720p usually is enough to get by,... but when the user is watching on a full hd tv then i would always try to upload in 1080

I'm neither since my camera is on the lower end of the spectrum so it would only go up to 480p at best (Sony Cybershot DSC-W690)... However, if I had to choose I'd always go for the highest possible, but if not 720p is more than sufficient imho.

Like it has been said it all depends on how you render your video, if your source video is 720P than you can render 720P, if your source is 1080i or 1080P you should generally render 1080P, it does make a difference given that your source aka the video from Fraps, or video from Camcorder is the same as your output. For example on my gaming channel I record at 60FPS 1080P with Fraps, when I render it becomes 1080P with 30FPS(Since youtube does not support 60FPS). This way the least amount of quality is lost.

Honestly, I can't usually tell the difference. I always upload it 720p though. Usually I can't even get 1080p to load, and it takes way too long to render.

1080p.
If you watch it in fullscreen on a Full HD screen, you can easily see the difference.
(Well, I can at least)
