600,000 views per month but poor CPM :(

I agree with RyanH. Joining a network your revenue will be cut less. Freedom for example will take a 40%, YouTube will automatically takes 40% no matter what. So in the end you will be left with 20% of what you make.

Furthermore regarding why you don't earn that much, you might wanna check and see none of the videos are breaking copyright. For example If use the music by well developed artist even if its only for 10-20 seconds, the monetizing earnings for the entire video will go to the developer of the song you used.

no most videos are monetized, and there the ones im counting in the 600,000 views a month
 
When you monetize the videos, are you checking all of the ad types that are available? If "Skippable video ads" is not checked, the CPM will go way down. I think there used to be a way to submit a request to get your channel can be approved for "non-skippable in-stream ads," which usually pay more. But for some reason I cannot find the request link anymore... =( It might be worth looking into, and here is a link to Google's current non-skippable ads support webpage:
