6 months on and barely nothing...

In my opinion you should just try to get better and better. Try to make a list, and put everything there, thumbnails, audio quality, video quality, content quality and so on, and compare yourself with big channels. Yes BIG channels, because you will see where the biggest first difference is. Do NOT look at the subs and views, that DOES NOT MATTER at this point. While you set some goals to improve on some things, just see where you can share your content, like forums and dedicated pages. I started 3 weeks ago, I had nothing on the channel, now i got 63 subs, with 2600 views, and some videos got to almost 400 views. I try to find a new medium to share my content every day (and by that i mean share in a good way not spamming and posting in dedicated places).

I read about 1 to 2 hours of articles and watch videos about pointers and tips. If you love it, you do as I do now. If I see a new subscriber, i freaking jump for joy! I see a comment, I answer and try to be as helpful as I can. If you step up your game and be consistent, it will get only better.

Keep up the work, let the people who see the channel know that you are here and you give great content on a set period.

All the best!

I did the voice thing as my normal voice is very dull and boring and those who have subscribed and heard the difference think its more entertaining as well. Plus often when i record, it can drag on a bit but thats halved straight away by speeding my voice up.
I should try and rob/borrow my Dads camera, his got a very nice one upstairs he never uses and see what the difference in quality is like.
Appreciate the input. thanks.
I have so much i wanna do but its motivation at the moment.

I've got some baseline functionality advice if you really do want to make a career out of this.

1. I can't quite tell what the purpose of your channel is by looking at it. You need to decide what you have to offer and offer it generously. Using a hamster voice isn't enough to brand a channel.
2. Get yourself a channel trailer to help with that.
3. Your thumbnail text doesn't need to say the same thing as your title, you have two opportunities there, use them.
4. Fred played out the hamster voice a while ago, and it may be time to try something else.

You need to practice how to add some more enthusiasm into your normal talk, speeding it up and making squeaky isn't the answer. There's a reason why no one else on YouTube does it.

I agree. I find it extremely difficult to understand anything you are saying. I wouldn't be able to watch more than a few seconds. Either stop the voice processing, or find a different method. Easier, would be to just practice increasing your speech speed and volume and vocal "enthusiasm" in realtime and then just doing multiple takes when filming and then edit out the bad bits. As it is, it's almost like a pop star that can't sing well so they auto-tune her voice instead of working with her to improve her actual singing ability. Just keep at it. Don't give up!

46 videos? Am I missing something? I only saw six videos. But I agree, impersonating Alvin, Simon or Theodore isn't the answer. Spend time changing the inflection and intonation of you voice. Drag out your Australian accent or go completely deadpan like Steven Wright. Just practice on projecting your voice. Record, watch, learn, repeat. Unfortunately, few people have an abundance of natural charisma, but even so, I don't think I've seen a Youtuber yet that I thought had a dull and boring voice.

If you find the subject of your video entertaining, it will show up in your voice and people will pick up on it in your videos.

I didn't watch any of your videos and the range of topics vary quite a bit from mental health news to talking about the xbox. so maybe look for more centralized themes to your channel. that and just be patient.

Uhm i dont think i need to add about the voice - alvin chipmunk thing but as i was listening to your voice and imagined it to be deeper, slower and such i felt a sense of calmness, i mean this is just my own opinion but i find calm and soothing voices appealing too, so maybe you can just own that you're not going to be an explosion of energy but rather an informative and trustworthy dude that talks to the camera :D and grats on attempting the vegan lifestyle ^^ pleased to meet you btw

And its always good to practise a more enthusiastic manner to the camera but some people are not going to be like that and they still manage to get a strong hold of subbies :3

Thanks, hoping to show my journey from going eating meat to vegan. I went my local supermarket and bought loads of stuff but, now gotta decide what to cook from Monday, should have done it the other way round. But need to pop shops again anyway later, wanna get some of my fav chocolate before i start.

I agree about the voice, that needs to stop. Really wanna get a new camera and thinking DSLR, i have an older one 350D Canon but doesn't do video but as i joined a photography group, i fancy upgrading anyway
