I've Got It
My channel just hit 5000 views total which I am happy about (even if one video accounts for about 3000 of those views). I started it last September and have about 20 videos uploaded so far.

My problem is with subscribers- right now I have about a 1:227 or so view to subscriber ratio. I have 23 subscribers after 5000 views. Now mind you I have shown my channel to no friends and family outside of my girlfriend so this is captured straight off the web. I've heard about a 1:10 ratio is good so I am way off that mark.

On the flip side I have a 55% retention ratio which I hear is pretty good. For whatever reason people are often watching through my videos but don't feel compelled to subscribe to my channel. Granted, some of my first videos are a little painful (not that my current videos are any picnic but I am trying to improve :) ).

I'm attempting to create a channel that people will want to surf, which does happen sometimes. My videos are short and get straight to the information they advertise. I did go about six months without adding a new video from Dec to June which probably hurt me a little.

So, anyhow, just an update! I'm committed to getting up to at least a hundred videos and I'll see where I am then.
