4k uploading from iPhone 6s

ok so my iPhone 6s shoots and records in 4k but when i try to upload the 4k video to youtube from the app it only comes out in 720p.
whats going on?

Are the settings on your phone set to shoot in 4k?

Maybe YouTube is still processing the video if you just uploaded it, or you might have rendered it wrong.

Yes it's set to 4K, nope I reinstalled YouTube and tried it again but the best it could do was 1080p

I know it's a dumb question and you're probably shooting this way already, but you're shooting in landscape mode, right? Horizontal rather than vertical? Just making sure.

Yes I took a 10 second test video and uploaded it, no 4K

Just took another look, it's 1080p max, I can't find one thing on google about anyone having the same problem, but if you look on YouTube there are loads of sample 4K videos from a 6s, how do they get it there lol

No just uploaded straight from phone?[DOUBLEPOST=1443459382,1443390603][/DOUBLEPOST]update. i just checked my video and it has now appeared in 4k, it must take youtube a few days to make it 4k
