I only have 30 subs but 30000 views across my channel, im guessing this is a good ratio?
what ratio over time do you guys have?
and are subs more important than views to you?

thoughts??

Nick

Tells me you got some videos that went somewhat viral. I was looking at your channel and your first video getting 15k views! thats insane. Views are more important for that youtube money! but subs help build a community which will give you consistent views.

I agree, actually since i started editing from my Las Vegas vlogs onwards my views have doubled i only had about 12 subs 2 months ago! And whats even crazier is i added a video to youtube 7 years ago on an old channel with just the 1 video and it now has 122,000 views with 60 subs! i couldnt believe that myself!

I'm currently at 3,094,089 views with 1,167 subs. I think my view to sub ratio beats a majority of other channels lol.

How do you put that sub/view goal tab on your profile? be handy to show it on threads like these.

You need to head to the shop: here

Then purchase the "Goals Signature Access" option for 25 of your YTTalk cash (per month that you want to use a goals signature). You get more YTTalk cash as you post and engage with the site, so if you're relatively active the 25 forum cash a month should be easy to come by anyway.

Once you've purchased it, click your name in the top right hand corner of the site, go to the Personal Details (or just click my link to it!) and then scroll down and you should find an option to type in your subscriber count, view count, then subscriber goal, and view goal.

Hope this helps :)

I just noticed mine is gone... WTF. I should have VIP access

Personally I agree and disagree with having a ratio. Reasons why are:

Agree: Its good for yes the "youtube money". Having lots of views and monetized views is great for the bank account.

Disagree: While yes you are making some what of a profit on your video views, at the end of the day having only 30 people being about of your fan base won't help you grow overall. People always say subscribers don't matter anymore its about the views, they are completely wrong. Having X amount of people consistently coming back due to notification of youtube uploads is huge when it comes to growing as a person on youtube.

Yes having say 1300 views on a video is nice and maybe gaining 3 subscribers from it BUT in due time the views will drop off and having no subscribers to keep those views consistently going will cause youtube channels to fail. When you make that VIRAL VIDEO , use key cards end screen annotations and such to help encourage them to subscribe.[DOUBLEPOST=1488235313,1488235066][/DOUBLEPOST]And not to sound like i'm saying you 100% ARe DOING THIS. BUT the views on the videos are very inconsistent with your SEO rankings. - Via TubeBuddy. It basically seems like YOU or someone is buying views for your videos to make them gain more views. Now i'm not saying this is 100% TRUE, but tubebuddy doesn't lie. The views aren't rich.[DOUBLEPOST=1488235601][/DOUBLEPOST]

And again I don't mean to harp anymore but even your tags aren't finding ANYONE in the SEO ranking (the green X is representing a number which would show next to a tag if it was helping you in the search Engine.)

If you are infact using some sort of paid way to gain views, or even free. Trust me and try to avoid it for 1 video and see the results.

I can assure you im not buying views lol!
I cant understand why anyone would do that.

Thanks for your input everyone.
