2nd Guessing Videos?

I've Got It
Lately I've been second guessing my videos quite a bit. I've had 3 videos now that i have written scripts for, Edited, Rendered and then threw away because i felt they didn't live up to/exceeded my channels content standards. (Go ahead and throw the jokes "What Standard?! hue hue hue") I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem and how you overcame your own judgement. Thanks

THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME!
I normally just upload it anyways even with my doubts, the positive comments/likes you get really do help out the whole overcoming it though
 
Yeah, I almost threw away my last video because I didn't think other people would like it. Personally, I loved the Video, but others aren't me. But, now it's my highest Viewed Video! I think I realized that while I need to please others, the most important person, is me. I'm not sure if this helped, but I thought you would enjoy the story. :)
 
All the time! I'm getting better though. I try to remember that when I write something down, it's probably because I think it is pretty darn funny (or at least has potential) Just have to remember that, by the time I am done piecing together a script and working out the details, I've experienced the punchline so many times that it is hard to find the humor in it anymore. That's usually when I close my eyes and hit upload. It's often the case, that once I spend a day or two away from the joke and return, it makes me smile again.

Agree with Dax. After a week of editing we often think this is the dumbest thing we have ever done, not funny in the slightest. Its not true though, you've just seen it too much.

Guess ill take that advice and just hope its received well, if not then ill just try again.
 
just relax! even if you think they arent good; youre viewers may like it, and theyll always tell you what they think would make videos better. as time goes so will the quality of your work.
 
I don't often second-guess my videos but it happens every now and then. The last time I was nervous about a video was when I made one called "How to suck, d**k." I went ahead and put it out there though. It's one of my more popular videos.
 
This happens with me ALL THE TIME.
I write up what I want to say and finish making it and I don't really enjoy it as much as I originally did. I just feel like I could produce better. But I end up uploading it anyway because I "have to" follow a schedule. So, most of the videos I have uploaded, I haven't actually completely liked...which is a problem. lol
I've recently decided that if I don't actually like a video and second-guess it too much, I just won't upload it. It should make me happy first and foremost. :)
