At 24fps, you're going to have very stuttered motion with fast panning. There's some general filmmaker rules that you need to adhere to for 24fps to look really good so you don't end up with a massive amount of blur and stuttering. I would stick to 30 or 60. 60 especially if you plan on slowing something down some day. 30 is the television standard in the US where as film is 24. In the end it does come down to personal preference.
