2 MILLIONS VIEWS!

Long story short. I had almost 2 million views on my Channel. I re-vamped my Channel and kinda "started over" so I made all my previous videos 'unlisted', but now I lost all my views. Ive uploaded 2 new vlogs, but my views are stuck at 1...is this a glitch? is there a fix? do I really lose all my views for videos that are "unlisted"?!

Here's an example, but statistics say its only gotten 10k views...something isnt right here!!

If you make your videos "unlisted" or "private," their views are subtracted from your channel page's total view count. If you make the videos public again, the views should come back. ^_^

They will indeed come back. It took a few days for my views to show back up.

Thats so stupid. I dont want those old vlogs public anymore.

It would make no sense if you had a couple videos with a small amount of views and your public viewcount showed millions, though.

I "lost" 40K views when I put my car vlogs private when I went in another direction with my channel. Funny how it took me years to get to 40K views, and now I add 40K views a month sometimes! Anyway, you can't fix it until you put those videos back public. 2 Million is an awesome achievement. I just broke trough 600K myself. That was my "goal" for 2016, and I blew that out of the water early. I am going to laugh so hard if I hit a million before the year is up. It's unlikely, but it could happen.

+1 Yep, that's the reason.

It's only the public view counter that is adjusted. The views in analytics are unchanged.
