100+ subscribers but 5 videos....?

Hey guys, hope everyone well, so ive just started a you tube channel and im at 15 subscribers but ive uploaded about 20-25 videos.. that's okay i don't mind but i come across people with only like 5 videos and 100 or more subscribers and im just wondering if there's a reason for that or if i could be doing something wrong on my channel? I do mainly call of duty and tutorial videos but i was just hoping someone could put my mind at ease haha hope everyone is well and have a great 2016! :)
 
there is a chance that they did have a few hit videos, are a second channel of a bigger one, buy subs, or strike it lucky and got someone big to shout them out.

just keep on doin what your doin, you will probably get noticed eventually.
 
I know what you mean man. Its just a matter of luck sometimes. Getting that one video that really just sets everyone off.

Slow and steady I suppose ;)

The other day I was cruising through youtube and came across a channel with 73 video views but 87 subscribers!!!

How does that work! :) :)

By my fifth video, I hit 100... I hit facebook hard when I first started and about 50 of those first 100 were my friends and family..... it gets a good base rolling so you look more legit when a new viewer comes along..... do you already promote on social media?

Yeah i know right! it just sometimes seems like the people that have plenty of videos and are active dont have as many subs as what they deserve.. but youre right slow and steady ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1452056107,1452056031][/DOUBLEPOST]

True.. i mainly on promote on twitter and even then its not really promoting.. whenever i post a new vid i would just say i uploaded something new and leave it at that
 
Gotta be more aggressive if you want those views.... walking the fine line of being aggressive and not being spammy.... it works though, trust me.... Jump on Instagram too.... I had a huge boost in subs once I got my Instagram rolling for my channel

Yeah i know what youre saying bro! Yeah okay! i might set up an instagram too the.. hopefully that helps me haha is there any tips you could share?... possibly? haha
 
Instagram?? How do you use that to promote.
I use facebook and twitter which has drawn a some extra views.

Joined Reddit recently on the advice from here which was also good.

I do have a personal instagram, but never thought of promoting through it.
What are your steps?
