I thought it was funny, there is no need for people to get salty over it, as they weren't making any money from it.

But I wasn't surprised to see YouTube clock onto it, they wouldn't send a play button to a channel like this because one of the requirements for it is good watch time, and clear videos without being sub bait pretty much.

I think too many people got their panties in a twist because all they care about is internet genitalia. And it was clear that the 100K without subs guy had a way bigger one than they did.

I am satisfied where I am at. I don't look at the top with envy. I look at the top as something I might attain if people like my stuff enough. If I don't I am completely fine where I am at. Fun > Numbers.

So what this guy did not post a video. But if he indeed spammed everywhere it is a deserved fate. I dislike YouTubers that spam popular videos with pointless comments just because they want to be noticed. If he commented with proper comments though... No harm no foul I say.

I wonder what guidelines the channel was specifically violating? Or was it just shut down because YouTube thought it wasn't being done in good faith? Not sad to see it go though, to me it just made it seem like it was all about numbers, and seemed to be - deliberately or not - taunting actual creators. "Social experiment" seems to be a sneaky way of getting away with annoying people...

I wonder if this would effect youtubers that are very active in the community but do not post videos. I have seen people with more subs than myself and they do not have any videos but they comment everywhere.

I too am curious as to what guideline was violated. Everyone who gets a Google user account has a channel by default, and there is no requirement to make videos. That said I'm not surprised that YouTube quashed it, they probably felt it was making a mockery of their whole system.
