Went by your channel, and it looks good, your channel art is nice...may I suggest you set up some playlists? It helps the viewers find the videos they most want to watch.

Think my attitude in rant videos is confrontational so it may scare people away - music games videos do better as it's just me playing and not talking! :p

Had one rant do better than most of my others - over 300+ views - probably due to somebody else's response video proved popular than my original!

So long as I'm still enjoying the process, I'm OK with the YouTube ride. ;)

Yep same here...some of my videos get hardly any views and others get a lot of views. I know some of it is the content. So I tried playing early access games but that was just too annoying. Having to stop and start series cause the game has been updated and is full of glitchs. So Im sticking with games that are well established for now.

I do have playlists? Are they not showing? I have several types of videos I make. Gameplays that are just edited and only have segments of a game, gameplays with other people, and gameplays of an entire game.

I've had a supsicion for a while that that was the reason. I'm verrrrry inconsistent. I need to make more videos more often.
 
I don't think it's over flooded, but starting off you'll rarely have people randomly stumble on your channel. Just search mario kart 8 and see if your videos are anywhere on the first 10 pages.
 
Keep doing videos and some will get more views and some core fans will slowly come in and you will get a normal amount of views coming in every video that number will grow (Hopefully) :)
