Umm whats the different between gross CPM and just CPM?? Sorry im an amateur at these things..

It depends which part of the process you're referring to. Gross Tax vs Net Tax for example, is before and after for the individual. So Gross CPM vs Net CPM is before or after some has been removed. There are two points in the process that can be considered Gross. Before YouTube has taken their cut, though this is a silly time to bother looking at it because the YouTube cut comes off of everyone equally. The second "Gross" is before the network you are partnered with has taken their cut.

That and CPM is an after the fact calculation. When partnered, you don't "get a CPM rate" barring a very small number of fixed rate groups out there. What you get is a back and forth amount by the ad, by the day. And at the end of it all you calculate the total earnings against your monetized views and can figure out your C(ost)PM/R(evenue)PM.
